Inspiring Video

Posted in Cycling, Quick and Dirty on June 30th, 2009 by admin

So, as most people know I have been following Lance Armstrong for the last year or so as I get more interested in cycling.  I follow his twitter mostly, and every once in a while I find something that is just inspiringly fantastic.  Lance is probably one of the more technologically advanced people in this time.  Check this video out. This makes me want to get on my bike more than that espisode of South Park about World of Warcraft made me want to play WoW again.  Good luck Lance during the Tour de France!

Finally my new books arrived.

I got some new books to help me jump start my new C# Development.

Work is fun, and it is even more fun when it requires me to learn new things.  Luckily I’m in a field I enjoy and can get books that please my personal interests and my work interests.  It is like a real time collision… haha.  I can’t wait to crack these open tomorrow.

New Razor… the Shaving Kind

Posted in Quick and Dirty on June 25th, 2009 by admin

So, I finally got my new razor.  This is my first “safety” razor… pictured below…

My new safety razor, the first one...

I have read that shaving with this type of razor takes a while to get used to, but I found it to be quite simple after simply watching some videos.  No cuts!  It isn’t the closest shave you can get in the world, but it is something that takes time and practice.  I did notice however that I don’t have any skin irritation or soreness, whereas I normally do with my old razor.

Pics after shave:

It may have been a good benchmark to have pre-shave pictures… there was hair there before… it is too late to go back.

Upstairs Neighbor…

Posted in Quick and Dirty on June 23rd, 2009 by admin

So, I met my upstairs neighbor… in my last apartment that meant that there was a party going on and I was annoyed.  This time though, my upstairs neighbor plays the piano.  I asked her to turn it up just a little bit so I could hear it better.  What an awesome situation to be in.  I never thought that I would be asking my neighbor to turn the volume up… I suppose there is a difference between soft piano music and rap that shakes the foundation and the walls.  Awesome!
